These webpages and datbases are maintained on the Dept. of Administration server for historic purposes,

Corrections expenditures Costs of administrative functions, personnel training, victim services, operation of juvenile facilities and county jails, juvenile out-of-home placement, all probation and parole activities, community-based programs, work release, and counseling, treatment and diversion programs. Eighth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the western counties of Big Stone, Chippewa, Grant, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Meeker, Pope, Renville, Stevens, Swift, Traverse, Wilkin and Yellow Medicine. Fifth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the southwestern counties of Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, Rock and Watonwan. First Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the southern Twin Cities metropolitan area counties of Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott and Sibley. Fourth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722. It includes Hennepin County. Judicial district As established by the state constitution and defined by statute, Minnesota`s trial courts are organized into 10 districts for administrative purposes. Ninth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the northwestern counties of Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau. Public safety capital outlay expenditures Costs of purchasing existing buildings, new construction, permanent improvements, equipment, machinery and land. Examples are purchases of police cars and the construction of jails. Capital outlays vary from year to year based on the needs and resources of the county. This expenditure category does not include costs related to state prison facilities, which are included in the Department of Corrections’ budget allocation from the Legislature. Second Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722. It includes Ramsey County. Seventh Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the west central counties of Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Otter Tail, Stearns, Todd and Wadena. Sheriff’s office expenditures Expenses for transportation, communications, criminal investigation, boat and water safety, and law enforcement activities such as general patrolling of county roads and enforcing laws against driving under the influence. Costs associated with city-level law enforcement agencies are not included in this expenditure category. Sixth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the northeastern counties of Carlton, Cook, Lake and St. Louis. Tenth Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the northern Twin Cities metropolitan area counties of Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Washington and Wright. Third Judicial District One of 10 regions defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 2.722 that includes the southeastern counties of Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca and Winona. Total county expenditures Current operating expenses, capital outlays, and debt service principal and interest payments. Caveats
