Today's veterans have a comprehensive benefits package which VA administers through an annual patient enrollment system. Enrollment is based on priority groups to ensure that health care benefits are readily available to all enrolled veterans.

Generally, veterans are not required to enroll if:
*Seeking care for a VA rated, service-connected disability
*Rated with a service-connected disability of 50% or more
*Less than one year has passed since discharged for a disability that the military determined was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty, but VA has not yet rated.

All physical and mental disabilities

Area of Minnesota served:
Statewide

Eligibility criteria:
*Must meet VA eligibility criteria
*Enrollment is based on priority groups
*A physician's prescription is required for service

Maximum amount individual can receive:
If the disability is service-connected, devices and services are provided at no cost to the veteran. The VA reclaims and recycles devices when the veteran no longer needs them.

Non-service-connected veterans may be subject to co-payments for primary or specialty care, depending on eligibility.
